App icons
Choose Waycar's home-screen icon in Settings, from the caboose or the bare prompt mark, each in several colors.
Waycar comes with a choice of home-screen icons. Pick the caboose carrying a >_ shell prompt, or the bare >_ prompt mark, each in several colors, in Settings › App Icon.
Change the app icon
- Open Settings.
- Tap App Icon.
- Tap the icon you want. iOS changes it on your Home Screen.
Which icons are there?

| Prompt | Phosphor, Amber, White, Black, Coral |
The default icon is the caboose in Waycar’s brand violet. The green caboose is Phosphor.
Good to know
- iOS keeps your choice on each device, and it survives app updates. It doesn’t sync to your other devices, so you can use a different icon on your iPhone and your iPad.
- Since iOS 18.1, notifications may keep showing your previous icon until you restart your device. This is an iOS bug that Waycar can’t work around, and the App Icon screen says so.
- If iOS can’t change the icon, the screen shows Couldn’t change the icon with the reason.
